As kids, some of us used to pray a prayer at meal times that started with the words, “God is great; God is good…” He sure is. He is so, so good…good to His children who are His in His Son, our Lord Jesus. Take some time today and contemplate the goodness of God…His goodness to you…especially that free gift of salvation through Jesus…and don’t forget to thank Him for it all!

Psalm 25:8

Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way.

Psalm 145:9

The LORD is good to all, and His mercies are over all His works. 

James 1:17-18

17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. 18 In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.
