If you were in a foreign country and you didn’t know the native language and you had a desperate need to communicate, you would diligently search for an interpreter…one who knows your language and is able to translate it to those with whom you need to communicate. God has granted us such an interpreter to help us to communicate with Him in prayer…actually two. God has given us His Holy Spirit and His Son, Jesus, both of whom take our weak attempts to make requests of Him, and intercede for us in just the right words, putting them in line with His perfect will for every matter.
Romans 8:26-27
26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
Hebrews 7:25
Therefore [Jesus] is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
