In his much loved hymn lyric, Horatio Spafford wrote about a time in his life

“when sorrows like sea billows rolled.” Every life is touched by sorrow at times…sometimes a little…sometimes a lot. Understand…brother or sister in Christ: Almighty God…your Father…is aware of your sorrows and cares deeply about you at all times, but especially during those times. He personally takes note of it and our Lord Jesus provides abundant grace…grace upon grace…to get us through.

Psalm 56:8 (NLT)

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.

John 1:16

For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.
