Like many Christians who are “north of 65,” I find myself a little more “homesick” for “the Father’s House” with every day that passes. I suppose that’s only natural when a number of friends and family have already gone “Home” to be with Jesus. But…after all…that’s exactly where every child of God desires to be…at “Home” with the Father…and with His Son, our Savior. Of course, we’d love to go “Home”…shootin’ out of our shoes! Maybe today!

John 14:1-3

[Jesus said,] 1 “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.
