To live a life fully committed to, and invested in, the faith of the Lord, Jesus Christ, is not, nor will it ever be, “a walk down easy street.” It is often a life that involves struggle…that calls us to battle…to fight against the forces of Satanic evil in this present world and to persevere in the diligent pursuit of a life of godliness.

Ephesians 6:10-12

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

1 Timothy 6:11-12

11 But flee from [sinful temptations], you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
