Bad things happen to God’s people…trials, tribulations, tragedies…some of them, at times, beyond human comprehension, yet not without purpose. Think of the severe difficulties in the lives of Job and Joseph, yet God was there…with them every step of the way…completely faithful in the midst of all that they endured. Even though the trials were severe, God brought them through, blessed them, accomplished His perfect sovereign purpose and glorified Himself in the process. Child of God: He will do the same with you.

Genesis 50:20

But Joseph said to [his brothers who sold him into slavery], 20 “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.

Job 1:21-22

Job said, “The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD. 22 Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God.”
