How much do you value the Word of God? The words of the Psalmist that we find in Psalm 119 magnify the worth of the Word of God and the God of the Word. Although one might be tempted to think that they are just poetic exaggeration, nothing could be further from the truth. The inspired Word of God contains no such exaggerations. The Psalmist meant every word of what he wrote about how much he valued the Scripture and it’s Almighty Author. Treasure the Bible, the only Book God ever wrote!
Psalm 119:11, 76, 127, & 162
11 Your Word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You…76 The Law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces…127 Therefore I love Your commandments
above gold, yes, above fine gold….162 I rejoice at Your Word,
as one who finds great spoil.
