When it comes to trustworthiness, we desire to have someone whom we can trust implicitly…absolutely…with no qualms…no doubt…no hesitation…without reservation. That level of trust can only be found in one Person…our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. It’s just like Louisa Snead wrote in the lyrics of her much loved hymn:
” ‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, Just to take Him at His word,
Just to rest upon His promise, Just to know: ‘Thus saith the Lord.’
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! O for grace, to trust Him more!”
Jeremiah 17:7
