There are plenty of things to generate worry in us these days…this week…even today…but don’t worry! Your God stands between you and every one of those real, or potential, worries. He already has them accounted for and cared for, in advance. Instead of wasting precious time on what you can’t control, invest that precious time pursuing your God…His kingdom…His righteousness…as He has promised to provide everything you really need.
Matthew 6:31-33
31 So do not worry, saying, `What shall we eat?’ or `What shall we drink?’ or `What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
The sovereign God wants to be loved for Himself and honoured for Himself, but that is only part of what He wants. The other part is that He wants us to know that when we have Him we have everything – we have all the rest. ~ A.W. Tozer
