It is said that the Scottish Christians of days gone by never placed anything on top of their Bibles. That was because they valued the Bible above all other books and they wanted it readily accessible and available for use at any moment. Is that your attitude toward Scripture? Is it of utmost value to you?
Psalm 119:11, 72, 127, 162
11 Your Word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You.
72 The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.
127 Therefore I love Your commandments above gold, yes, above fine gold.
162 I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure.
